Getting started with photoshop

21st July 2011
In the past photographs have been developed in a darkroom using different techniques and chemicals to enhance the look and feel of a photographers images. Today we refer to it as the digital darkroom and it usually centres around your PC/MAC and an editing software program the most well known software program on the market is Adobe's Photoshop.

Due to the fantastic response to the photography course it has been requested by the students that I offer a beginners guide to using photoshop.

If like me you rushed to buy a copy of photoshop CS/Elements thinking it was the answer to all your editing needs and where left very disappointed when you open it to find a screen that makes absolutely no sense you have no clue what any of the tools mean never mind the actions they perform and you end up clicking off and feeling like you have wasted your hard earned money.

Well my new course is designed to help you understand the tools, open an image, explain the key adjustments and how they affect your image and add some cool effects that will enhance your images. I will also be showing you how to create impact with black and white images remove unwanted objects or re-touch portraits and then finally export them in a file format ready for viewing and printing.

Although it is designed as a step by step guide if you wish to bring your own laptop with the software installed you are more than welcome to follow what I am doing in a more interactive way but it is not essential.

The average price of a course like this is £250+ I am offering it at £120 and will soon run a new groupon offer bringing this down to an unmissable £39.
